I have downloaded many Spotify songs and want to use them as ringtones? Does any one know how?
Many people prefer to use their favorite songs as ringtone and change them often. There are different ways to create ringtone for iPhone, Android and Windows phone on Mac or Windows. You can use iTunes to create ringtone for iPhone and Audacity for Android. There are also online tools for you to make your own ringtones. You can upload music files of the following formats: AAC, FLAC, M4A, MP3, OGG, WAV, WMA. However, no matter which way you choose, the songs you used for ringtone can’t be DRM-protected.
Spotify users may ask is it possible to make ringtones from Spotify songs? The answer is yes but you need to remove Spotify DRM and convert Spotify songs to mp3 first.
Songs downloaded with Spotify Premium can't be made as ringtone directly since they are DRM protected. You can only play them with Spotify app on the device where the songs are downloaded. To add them to iTunes or other ringtone maker to create ringtone, the first thing is to remove the DRM and convert the songs to DRM-free formats. You need a Spotify music downloader that can download Spotify songs to mp3 from either free or premium account.

After getting the DRM-free Spotify songs, you can make ringtone with these songs. Follow below steps, here we use iTunes as example.
1. Open iTunes and import the song you want to make ringtone.
2. Right click the song and click Get Info. Click Options and set the Sart Time and Stop Time. For example, if you want your ringtone to start at a minute into the song and end at a minute and fifteen seconds in, you'd type 1:00 into the "start" field and 1:15 into the "stop" field.
3. Click File - Convert - Create AAC Version.
4. Go to the AAC file's location on your computer.
5. Change the file extension to M4R. To do so:
Windows - Make sure the file is selected, click the Home tab, click Properties, replace the .m4a extension next to the song's name with .m4r, click OK, and click Yes when prompted.
Mac - Replace the .m4a section of the song's name at the top of the Get Info window with .m4r, then check the "Hide Extension" box and close the Get Info window.
6. Sync the ringtone to your iPhone.
